I first knew Larry as one of the older neighborhood guys on Fernwood Avenue in Hollywood. I would say I was probably 8 years old. I'd see him around a lot because he was good friends with Dennis, the older brother of Marianne who was MY good friend. We all went to Boys and Girls Club up the street. I just remember he was always nice to me. Later on, in the early 70's, we all lived at Kingsley Court and that was such a great time. You think you will always be as close as you were then, but you find that things change. Life takes you in different directions and it's easy to lose touch. We did attend each other's weddings (the picture attached is Larry and Robin at my wedding). And I'm very grateful that whenever Marianne and Dottie would visit them I always got an earful of how they were doing and pictures galore.
Larry was a true Mensch, always there if you needed help or just a friend to talk to. I will always treasure our friendship and my memories of "Hocko". May his memory be for a blessing.
With much love and affection,
Peg Needleman (AKA Peg-o)
I love this!
