I am sitting here and crying while watching the pictures of Larry but at the same time it makes me soo happy seeing that Larry had such a wonderful life and, in every picture, I can see that your heart Larry was so open to every person no matter where they came from.
I was 21 when I came to San Diego and I knew from my good (old😊) friend Melanie that she had such a wonderful host family. I was a little bit skeptical at the beginning because I could not imagine that complete strangers could take you into them hearts so quickly and with so much love. But it was really like that. From the first second you felt like part of the family. The time with Larry and Robin was one of the best in my life. And I miss you all so much!!
I have so much beautiful moments to share when I think about Larry… Sentences like: « What are the birds so excited about at 6 am in the morning» or «Honey, bring me some Hot Dogs, when Robin is not around» or «Take care and don’t talk to strangers» or when you my dearest Larry tried to explain me the rules of Football and you realized that I had no clue about them and you still tried and tried, made me feel so special at that moment that you not gave up on me 😊 Or when you got to the post office with me to sent all the packages to Switzerland filled with clothes and other stuff I have bought and the post officer was like WTF and you just said – «I know, and I am sorry» makes me after so many years still smile!
I grew up with a father, but you Larry have been more of a father to me than I could have asked! There are no words for this wonderful feeling and my gratitude! I am so grateful that I had the chance to know you Larry and I am so thankful for all the wonderful and great memories! Thank you for your LOVE, HUMOR, PATIENCE, HAPPINESS, EASINESS and all the things you wear teaching me, which I still remember and keep them deep in my heart!
I know that you never liked to say «Goodbye» and we don’t, you will life forever in our hearts! Thank you for being such a wonderful person!!❤️
