I looked for Larry for years after our meeting in MI when he was 9 and I was 11. We spent the day together and had a great time. He was so funny...he ate raw corn on the cob and would sneak a sip of Unks beer. He went back to California and I wrote letters for a long time...but never received any back. I figured he didn't like me. Years went by, and during Vietnam, I would always look at the guys coming back to the states as well as the POWs, but no bro. Then I met a half-sister who had "connections". I was able to reach out to him in San Diego. I was 35 and he was 33. Things were wonderful! We found out we were so much alike even though we didn't grow up together. Loved him more than I can say. I hope he realized how important he was to me. My baby brother. I have really great memories in a short period of time.
