Larry Hochstadt: friend, golf buddy, and a real inspiration. Larry's passion for life and especially golf was infectious and always shared through his story telling. I remember how excited he would get over the latest recipe he had put together, the last visit he had with his grandchildren or even his latest round of golf.
I also remember how frustrated Larry would get because I couldn't step up to the ball and just smack it as he did. The last piece of advice he gave me was "don't forget paralysis from analysis, the golden rule". "Just hit the ball with feel." Well Larry, I can now feel the "feel" you always talked about and the golfing wisdom you shared as we bombed around Miramar are finally useful.
In one of his last e-mails Larry wrote: "San Diego - I hope will always hold special memories and of course some future flog (that's golf spelled backwards ... HA HA ...)." Because of Larry and his golf, San Diego does hold special memories for me which I will always cherish.
