I met Larry in 1970. We live in the original Melrose Place! The “COURTYARD” at Melrose and Normandie, was a great place to grow up. And Larry was one of the best parts of that time. He was the older brother I didn’t have as well as a friend and a confident. Every weekend was surfing at Rincon, or maybe Summerlin. Occasionally it was down to Mexico for a weekend in Ensenada. During the week it was basketball games. I ran the clock and scorer’s table. Larry would humor me and ‘check in’ – He knew I would yell at them if they didn’t! He made me feel important. Larry had a way of always making others feel important. We had great times in the early 70’s. Life was so simple yet so complicated. It was marvelous.
Larry will always have a special place in my heart. He was there for me when I got in trouble. He had a sixth sense and he showed up knowing I needed help. He never asked for anything in return. That wasn’t his way.
We were all so very excited when Larry met Robin and we knew she was the one! Marrying Robin was one of the best choices that man ever made! His next great accomplishment was his kids. He really was a great dad and he loved being a granddad.
Larry affected everyone he met, friend, stranger, client, rival. He liked people, talking, listening, and exchanging ideas. All I have now are great memories and a 52-year friendship clutching my heart. I miss you, Larry. Even if we didn’t talk all the time, when we did it was if no time had ever passed. Your playing golf right now with ‘the big man’ whom you got to meet! So, swing away dear friend. We will all meet again at that big Courtyard in the sky. God Bless you Larry. Love always, Dottie

Beautiful remembrance, Dottie!!
