Larry Hochstadt was many things to many people. A beloved “Grumpa”, wonderful Father and Loving Husband. He was a friend to countless individuals, and he became family to the many students he and Robin hosted. He was one of the greatest athletes I’ve ever known, I don’t think there was a sport or game I didn’t see him excel at. I was lucky enough to call him my “Uncle Larry.” I feel blessed to have had this amazing man in my life and in my corner. He was a confidant, someone who loved me unconditionally throughout all the stages of my life and loved my family. I miss him dearly but feel lucky to find him in the most unexpected places every day…each time I watch Meia drop into a wave, mornings when I pass the golf course near my house, anytime I play cards, each year at the Del Mar Track. His memory and the special place he holds in my heart will always be with me. I will forever be grateful for trips to Seaport Village, Birthdays in the limo, Racetrack Rummie at the Hilton, Track days at Del Mar, Golf lessons, phone calls and his endless love and support. I love you always and forever Uncle Larry - Nicole
