My Brother-in-law Larry, or BIL for short, was a man I watched love my sister over a lifetime. Through daily life, raising a family together, and crazy adventures, he was a man who appeared to not exactly trust what was around life's corner, but would brave it if his family was at his side. He wasn't really a fan of change, so it was a victory if you convinced him to try something new. One visit to see us in Texas gave a day to explore a new golf experience called TopGolf. After some cajoling to check it out and the promise he didn't have to stay, he gave it a try. It wasn't long before he was firing long drives off the balcony bay the farthest and most accurate of anyone there. Sharing his knowledge (and patience) with me I was able to be infected with his love of the game.
